A Compulsive Soliloquy by Lucy Frost

Because I have no free will, I know I’m going

To chew a strand of barbed wire; I haven’t yet,

But I will, and so I have. I haven’t felt it yet,

Those metal spines sucking red agony from my

Gums, but I will– and so I already have.
